Our ACT Program

Home   /   Our ACT Program

Our ACT Program begins with a diagnostic exam.  We don’t just look at your scores, though. A full analysis helps us to better understand your student as a test taker.  From there we will help you craft an ACT Prep Plan that suits your student’s needs.

If you know that you would like to enroll in one of our classes, you’re already set!  The first class day is a full-length, proctored diagnostic exam. So go ahead and find the class that fits your schedule, register, and we’ll take care of the rest.

But if you’re not sure if the class or individual tutoring is right for you, consider signing up for one of our ACT Practice Exam + Consultation packages.  We can help you determine the type of prep that is best suited to your individual needs.  Check out the full schedule below.

Small group classes increase the amount of time a student interacts with the instructor, allowing him to receive more attention.

The result? Specific learning issues get addressed. Because the ACT exam is considerably different than tests most students experience in the classroom, it can create challenges—even for top-performing students.

No matter how successful a student is, our whole student approach nearly always enhances her abilities, bringing her closer to her true potential. Ferguson Tutoring’s ACT Prep doesn’t just cover the material on the test; it also teaches students about the test itself.

Small Group Classes

  • 2 full-length, proctored exams
  • 6 or 8 – 2.5 hour classes (8 and 10 session options)
  • 6:1 student-teacher ratio
  • Full English puncutation and grammar review
  • Ferguson Tutoring Method for English, Reading, and Science
  • 1-1 math instruction every class
  • Individual assessment every class
  • Personalized study plans

While we love our classes, we know that they’re not for every student. We also offer hourly, individual tutoring.

We begin the process with a sit-down where we work together with parents and students to craft a prep plan that addresses all the needs and concerns of the student and integrates them with our unique ACT Prep curriculum and Whole Student Approach.

Because your prep plan is individualized, you can customize it any way you like. You can work with us to focus on just one section of the ACT or prepare for all four sections (English, math, reading, and science) plus the ACT Writing.

Perhaps a combination of small group instruction and individual tutoring is right for you.  Check out our Small Group Classes and schedule a consultation today to get started!

Not Sure How to Start?

Register for our ACT Practice Test and Consultation. This can be done at any time but is ideally schedule between spring of sophomore year and early fall of junior year. Starting the process early does not mean additional prep time or more money on tutoring. It simply means that we can tailor a prep plan that best suits a student’s yearly schedule by working around busy sports schedules, theater involvement, family vacations, or anything else that might make adding-on ACT prep too stressful.
